Types of teeth whitening
There are two types of teeth whitening: In-Office Teeth Whitening which is done in the clinic in one visit and Home Teeth Whitening, where patients are given a custom-made tray and a whitening kit to use at home.
At our clinic, we receive a lot of patients in and around Dubai who come to us for our in-office Zoom whitening treatment. The entire chairside whitening process, including the preparation, can take up to 2 hours.
How Does Teeth Whitening Work?
Teeth whitening is a simple process. Whitening products contain one of two tooth bleaches (hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide). These bleaches break stains into smaller pieces, which makes the color less concentrated and your teeth brighter.
How long does the result lasts ?
Results can last at varying lengths depending on your genes, lifestyle and oral hygiene, but in general, they can last for up to a year. Top up treatments every 3-6 months (or as prescribed ) will help maintain a beautiful sheen, especially if you smoke or drink coffee or tea.
How can I care about my whitened teeth?
Caring for newly whitened teeth is easy! Maintain proper oral hygiene – brush your teeth twice a day and floss once daily using a fluoride toothpaste. Get your teeth cleaned every 6 months or as recommended by your dentist. To maintain the white color of your teeth, avoid acidic and dark-colored foods and beverages like tea, coffee, red wine, sports drinks, carbonated drinks and sauces like tomato, soy and curry.
